Until now just a small minority have taken control over the e-commerce world. There has been much screaming and howling, but in reality there aren’t many out on the net with anything more than a homepage. Now that’s beginning to change. A survey that we have undertaken among Kapital DATA’s readers shows that they plan to increase their investments in e-business by 50 per cent this year. They plan to invest more over the coming year than they have already done in the first quarter. And they’ll invest more on services and solutions than on hardware, maintains Kapital Data, in its latest issue.
Lars Helland of ViaNett has thought about that. "E-business isn’t just about using new technology, it’s about greater openness and reliance on relationships. Because of that, use of the internet doesn’t need to lead to less contact with the business market, but rather the opposite. For the value of a net solution to be appreciated it becomes important to take into consideration the degree to which one can now better the market, because one obtains better economy through faster exchange and storage of information, and can dialogue more openly and quickly with customers over the net, making them more satisfied and therefore loyal", he says. ViaNett wants to offer total solutions for better communication and openness through effective use of the internet.
ViaNett’s goal is to be an alternative to the ERP-providers’ own systems, which have the advantage that they are more tightly integrated with the internal financial system, but often have an organization behind them which is not dynamic enough to carry out adjustments for clients.
