What is an SMS client?
With an SMS client, you can send and receive SMS messages from a program on your PC.

Nominated for Product of the Year
Kapital Data in Norway has nominated ViaNett SMS as the Product of the Year, second time in a row.

Facelift
Our SMS client has now been made more advanced and more flexible for you the customer. Even though it is more advanced, it is just as easy to use.  ViaNett has pre-made ActiveX and Java clients that make it easier for you as the developer. If you wish to create a client in a different development tool, so you as the customer can create the client yourself, without using one of our ready-made clients.  ViaNett also has completed examples in Visual Basic.

Completed Examples
The clients have completed examples of how to send picture messages, ringtones and operator logos.

Flash Messages
Our solutions offer support for flash messages.  A flash message will automatically appear on the receiver's screen, without them having to select "Read message".

Anonymous
It is now possible to send messages with a name as the sender instead of a number. That means that you can send messages from "CompanyName", without the recipient having your name and number in their phonebook.

Incoming Messages
We can set up prefixes for the SMS client. If a cell phone user sends a message  to a large account number (like 1963) and uses the correct keyword/prefix, it will automatically be sent on to the SMS client.  If the client, for some reason or other, is not activated at that point in time, the message will be placed in a waiting line in our systems and sent when the client is reactivated.  Here's an example of a message: The user sends "SMSPREFIX LOGO124" or "RADIOREQUEST I would like to request..." to 1963, and the message is then automatically delivered to the SMS client.

Receipt or "delivery"
We also have created support for "delivery". This means that a receipt will come with information about the message that was sent. It could be that the user does not have sufficient coverage, in which case the message will contain details about that.

Reply Path
Now it is possible to send a message to a user which the user can reply to without having to use a prefix again. Usually, all incoming communication is filtered via prefixes that can be chosen by the customer.  Reply path can activate from the client when the message is sent.

Technical
There are completed examples of clients in Visual Basic 6.0 and Java. If you have other needs, please contact us for more information.

Statistics
As a customer, you weill receive access to online statistics, where you can see what messages have been sent and how much you as the customer have earned on SMS sales.

Prices
The installation price is NOK 10,000 ($1,500) plus tax + NOK 500 ($75) plus tax per month.  The price for outgoing messages that are not charged to the cell phone user is NOK 0.60 plus tax. If you wish, each message can charge the user anywhere from NOK 1 to NOK 30 per message. The prices depends of witch market it will be used in. Some markets only supports billing on messages sent from the cellphone (MO), and not on messages sent to the cellphones (MT). Of these messages, you as the customer will receive 80% of the profits, after the operator's deduction. Here is an example from the norwegian market. From a NOK 10 message, NOK 1.94 is VAT, and 2.54 is the operator's quota. Of the remaining NOK 5.52, you the customer would receive 80%. We can also offer a restricted version without two-way communication and revaluated messages. The installation price for the "mini" version is NOK 5,000 ($700) plus tax and NOK 300 ($50) plus tax per month.

Demo version
We now have the possibility to let you the user test the products before you order the client. In the test period, it is possible to test up to 10 SMS messages. After that, all outgoing messages will be sent to an optional email address, instead of a normal SMS. Upon oredering the client, we restore this so that all the messages are sent as SMS messages.

Download the demo version
Here you can mention your interest in the product to us and download a demo version in Visual Basic 6.0.  If you have any more questions, but would also like to download the demo version, you can still use our contact form here:
